Kendall Archer

Kendall Archer (she/her) is a junior in Davenport College and a prospective psychology major. She has served as a research assistant in the Social Perception and Communication Lab since Fall 2024. Outside of the lab, Kendall is a mentor with the Afro-American Cultural Center’s Urban Improvement Corps and a member of the Yale Undergraduate Prison project. Additionally, she enjoys reading, film photography, and cinema!

Maya Evans

Maya Evans (she/her) is a junior in Saybrook majoring in psychology with a certificate in education studies. She began working as a research assistant in the Social Perception and Communication Lab in Spring 2025. Maya is passionate about using psychological research to empower marginalized communities and advance societal equity. Outside of the lab, Maya is a Lead Writing Partner (at both the Poorvu Center and the Yale Prison Education Initiative), a volunteer with the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project, and a stage manager in various theater productions.

Alejandra Mendez

Alejandra Mendez (she/her) is a senior in Jonathan Edwards College pursuing a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a certificate in French. She has worked as a research assistant in the Social Perception and Communication Lab since the summer of 2025. Her research interests center on the psychological impact of systemic oppression on Black and Brown communities and the ways in which equity and healing can be meaningfully supported. Outside of the lab, Alejandra sings with the a cappella group Shades of Yale, dances in a Latin dance group, and is an active member of the Dominican Students Association. She also volunteers with the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project and holds several leadership and employment roles within Jonathan Edwards College.
